Popular news app Zite comes to Android

One of the best and most popular news curation apps for any mobile device is Zite. At long last, the free app is finally making its way to Android smartphones and tablets.

For the uninitiated, Zite customizes news feeds for users based on categories they identify as well as individual stories that are liked or disliked. The service syncs to users? Twitter and Google Reader accounts.

Last summer, the company was acquired by CNN for a reported $20 million.

While the most popular and critically received news curation app - Flipboard - has not yet made its way to Android, Zite is a worthy edition and an app news junkies should immediately embrace. It joins Google Currents, Pulse News, and News Republic as the best news aggregation apps available for Android devices.
